DENPASAR - The Immigration Office of Denpasar, Bali, deported a foreign national from Switzerland with the initials BFM for carrying out illegal fundraising actions for the life of stray dogs.
"Doing fundraising without a legal entity in Indonesia," said the Immigration Office Class I TPI Denpasar R. Haryo Sakti as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 28.
BFM was deported through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport using the Qatar Airways airline on the Denpasar-Doha-Zurich route.
Previously, Immigration officers on Tuesday (20/5) arrested BFM after reports from the public regarding illegal fundraising activities for stray dogs.
During an examination by the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Division (Inteljakim), BFM admitted to entering Indonesia with a residence permit for tourism and foreign tourists on arrival.
"This raises allegations that the funds collected are also used for personal interests," he added.
However, Haryo did not disclose the amount of funds that had been collected by BFM, including when the fundraising was carried out.
He explained that BFM was proven to have violated Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
In accordance with regulations, administrative actions in the form of deportation are dropped and BFM will be proposed to be included in the list of deterrence from entering Indonesia.
He explained that the decision to prevent BFMakan was decided by the Central Immigration by looking at and considering all of his cases.
