The East Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) is investigating allegations of abuse of authority and negligence resulting in state financial losses in the incident of being hit by the Mahakam I Samarinda Bridge.
"We have formed a special team to investigate the potential for criminal acts in this incident," said Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasi Penkum) of the East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office Toni Yuswanto in Samarinda, Tuesday, April 29, as reported by Antara.
His party revealed that this deepening step was the response of the East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office in accordance with its authority. "The team has collected data and information regarding the barge incident that crashed into the Mahakam I Samarinda Bridge," he said.
